~Sing to the KING~

Last night I had a dream.
I remember seeing big red barn doors with white siding. All of a sudden they flung open and I saw myself worshipping. The barn was full of people. We were singing the song Sing to the King. I felt that everyone there was declaring who they were in Christ together as one body. I also felt that as we were singing that song we were taking back ground that the enemy had stolen.

Later on in the dream I remember preaching about Stephen from the book of Acts. I was using Acts 6: 15 where Stephen's face looked like an angel.
All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

I remember as I was preaching I began to talk about open heavens. I read from Acts 7: 54-56 where Stephen saw the glory of the Lord and the heavens opened up.
When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."

Each time I used scripture in my dream I remember seeing my Bible in my hands in front of me.

These are the words to the song Sing to the King

Sing to the King

Sing to the King Who is coming to reign
Glory to Jesus, the Lamb that was slain
Life and salvation His empire shall bring
And joy to the nations when Jesus is King

Come, let us sing a song
A song declaring that we belong to Jesus
He is all we need
Lift up a heart of praise
Sing now with voices raised to Jesus
Sing to the King

For His returning we watch and we pray
We will be ready the dawn of that day
We'll join in singing with all the redeemed
'Cause Satan is vanquished and my Jesus is King'

I am not entirely sure of what this dreams might mean but if God shows you something through this please let know. Thank you.

~Weekend Adventures~

The weekend was so beautiful. The weather was amazing. Saturday my brother Alastair drove down to Saint John. He went to visit Dee’s and I went to visit Christian in Hampton. While I was there I had the chance I visit with his parents and his younger brother Byrann.

Christian and I took a good hike to the bank. When I say hike...I mean it was a hike. Ha Ha. When we got back our tiredness and rubber legs did not stop us from jumping on the trampoline.

It wasn't long till our legs got tired and we collapsed.

For supper Venus made some amazing steaks on the BBQ. Haha It was my 3rd steak of the WEEK. I loved it. After supper we all went to the store to rent a movie to watch together. We got Last Holiday, starring Queen Latifah and LL cool J. It was a good movie. I liked it.

Below is a picture of Byrann climbing a tree in the back yard.

Sunday morning we went to church. All the Gowan’s helped lead worship. Christian on the drums, Will on the bass, Byrann on the tambourine and Venus doing media shout. It was nice going to St. Paul's again. It was like being home. For those of you who do not know I use to live in Hampton. That is how I know Christian and his family so well. I lived in Hampton for 3 years then moved to Fredericton. My dad was the Pastor at the Anglican Church there. I miss that place a lot, even more when I am there. There is such a sense of family in that church. I love kids running everywhere, all familiar faces and all the new faces I have yet to meet. It felt like home.

I arrived back home (Fredericton) around 5:00pm Sunday. We had a special dinner for my parents because it was there 29th WEDDING anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD! I cherish how much my parents love each other to pieces and that they center their relationship on God. It's amazing I love them so much.

Thank you mom and dad for being such amazing parents I love you. Thank you for loving each other with unconditionally. You have many more years ahead of you and may God bless every one of them, may He continue to show you new things every day. Be blessed this day and evermore.

Well that is my weekend adventures in a nut shell. Peace out.

~Romanced by The King of KINGS~

Alright so I know it has been a while since I posted anything.... I need to just take a break from blogging and computer life. Hah

What I want to share with you is something God has been really been sharing with me.

Being Romanced by the King of Kings

Ruth 3:1-13

One day Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not try to find a home for you, where you will be well provided for? Is not Boaz, with whose servant girls you have been, a kinsman of ours? Tonight he will be winnowing barley on the threshing floor. Wash and perfume yourself, and put on your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don't let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. When he lies down, note the place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will tell you what to do."
"I will do whatever you say," Ruth answered. So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.

When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down. In the middle of the night something startled the man, and he turned and discovered a woman lying at his feet.

"Who are you?" he asked.
"I am your servant Ruth," she said.

"Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a kinsman-redeemer."

"The LORD bless you, my daughter," he replied. "This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor. And now, my daughter, don't be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of noble character. Although it is true that I am near of kin, there is a kinsman-redeemer nearer than I. Stay here for the night, and in the morning if he wants to redeem, good; let him redeem. But if he is not willing, as surely as the LORD lives I will do it. Lie here until morning."

Yes this is a story about Ruth and Boaz. It tells about how Ruth approached him for a request in marriage. I think this story very beautiful. How the two came together. If you read on in from verse 13 you see in Chapter 4 Boaz and Ruth get married. He announces to the elders and all the people that he has made the commitment of having Ruth as his wife. I see this as something so beautiful. It's interesting to see how everything worked and watching God's desire for their relationship. Through it all the elders and people blessed them.

I look at this story and see a foreshadowing of God's Romance with us.

Ruth washes herself and perfumes herself for Boaz. This is something we constantly should be doing in order to have an intimate and romantic relationship with God. Ask God to purify us and wash us clean. Our worship is a sweet smell and fragrance with Him. It's perfume. Perfume is something known to be expensive. Something costly.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Later on in verse 9 "Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a kinsman-redeemer." This is a request for marriage. Ruth confronts Boaz in a request for marriage. If you look back in chapter 2 :12 May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge." Now we see on the threshing floor Ruth asks Boaz to spread the "wings" ( the corners ) of his garment over her. Boaz begins to be reminded that he must serve as the Lord's protective wings over Ruth.

Now going back looking verse 9. This verse is repeated in Ezekiel 16:8

" 'Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

This is a God's covenant to Jerusalem. I believe this is also for us today. Read that verse over again and look at it as if God is speaking to you. Isn't is amazing to think about how much God wants to have a deeper relationship with us everyday?

God is waiting for us to pursue Him more and more everyday. He is also waiting for those who have never pursued him before in their life. He wants intimacy with us. He wants to cover our nakedness. He wants to make an oath with us and enter into a covenant with us.

Are you willing to let God wash you clean and have your worship be a sweet perfume to God?

Are willing to lay everything down only to have a close, intimate relationship with the King of Kings?

Do you want to be romanced by the King of Kings?

I found this to be a beautiful story of two people that came into union under God's will. God wants us to come into union with Him. He wants us to love as he loves us. He wants us to have unconditional love pour out of us. Wow. Just take a second think about how big God's love is and that how big God wants us to love. It's eternal. Never ending love. He wants romance us with his love. He wants to have intimacy with us. He wants you to know the Father's heart. It's so important for people to understand this. It's something it's like yeah God loves and that it. We talk a lot about love and romance like it's nothing. It's become to us a broken record because love is something the whole world talks about and hears about but know nothing about it. This is why we must change that. We are called to be imitators of God's love. We must pour out unconditional love from within us. Jesus must always be our first love! Take that step and walk as Jesus walked! Live in intimacy with him, romance, and deep, deep relationship becoming stronger everyday.

Do you want a deep relationship with the King?

Do you want intimacy with the King?

Do you want to be romanced by the King of Kings?

~My Mother's Hands - Happy Mother's Day~

Well it's mother's day so I thought I would write a poem for my mom. To all those other moms I wish you a happy mothers day as well. May God continue to bless you this day.

My Mother’s Hands…

My mother’s hands held me close from the time I was born
My mother’s hands fed me in my high chair.
My mother’s hands washed my clothes.
My mother’s hands cleaned up my messes.
My mother’s hands would be up all night with me, waiting for me to fall asleep
My mother’s hands had rules that you would not want to break

My mother’s hands helped with my school work
My mother’s hand would tuck me into bed every night
My mother’s hands would wash and brush my hair.
My mother’s hand would help me brush my teeth
My mother’s hand would wake up in the middle of the night because I was scared.
My mother’s hands would hold me tight and sleep with me until I was alright.
My mother’s hands would play Barbie’s and Lego with me
My mother’s hands would drive me from place to place
My mother’s hands would teach me how to ride a bike
My mother’s hands would play in the sand box with me
My mother’s hands would take me to the beach

My mother’s hands held me when I was crying
My mother’s hands would pick up the phone to hear my voice saying that I was homesick.
My mother’s hands make the best home cooked meals ever.
My mother’s hands are filled with love and affection for her family.
My mother’s hands are full of wisdom and experience.
My mother’s hands I love truly.
My mother’s hands are lifted high and up to worship our Heavenly Father
My mother’s hands serve God
My mother’s hands pour out purity
My mother’s hands…

Mom I love you and I thank you for everything that you have done for me. You are an amazing mother, and women of God. You are a great friend. Thank you for all you have taught me and shown me. May God continue to bless you, and show you more everyday. May God go deeper and deeper within you. I pray that you will know God more intimately everyday. I love you so much mom.

~PURITY~

Alright so some of you might have read Marie-Hélène 's last post on Jepthah's daughter: Intense purity. If you haven't read it, then you should before you continue to read this blog. When I first read that passage from her blog, I never knew what the references to the Bible were. Today I was reading my Bible. I was reading from Judges. I happened to be reading this same story that I read yesterday in Marie-Hélène's blog. I was so blown away by the fact that even though I had no idea where it was in the Bible , God showed me it again when I opened up my Bible. What amazes me it the purity in this young girl. It's crazy!

Judges 11:29-39

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah. He crossed Gilead and Manasseh, passed through Mizpah of Gilead, and from there he advanced against the Ammonites. And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD : "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

Then Jephthah went over to fight the Ammonites, and the LORD gave them into his hands. He devastated twenty towns from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel Keramim. Thus Israel subdued Ammon.

When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of tambourines! She was an only child. Except for her he had neither son nor daughter. When he saw her, he tore his clothes and cried, "Oh! My daughter! You have made me miserable and wretched, because I have made a vow to the LORD that I cannot break."

"My father," she replied, "you have given your word to the LORD. Do to me just as you promised, now that the LORD has avenged you of your enemies, the Ammonites. But grant me this one request," she said. "Give me two months to roam the hills and weep with my friends, because I will never marry."

"You may go," he said. And he let her go for two months. She and the girls went into the hills and wept because she would never marry. After the two months, she returned to her father and he did to her as he had vowed. And she was a virgin.

I think this has a lot to say about us today. This girl was willing to die a virgin. She did not complain she said “do to be just as you promised the Lord. WOW! Can you imagine yourself in that place? She mourned for 2 months because she knew there was no way she was ever going to be able to have children or ever to be married. She submitted to the promise her father made to the Lord. She became a pure sacrifice to God. I know in todays culture it's hard to walk that line of purity. The world has different view of what purity is then to what we (Christians) know what purity is. If you were this girl what would you have done? I know it is hard to think about. I believe that God is only going to continue to raise that bar of purity in all of us. What is purity mean to you? What purity means to you may not mean the same thing to me. What purity means to me may not be the same to you. Doesn't mean one is wrong or right it's that level of purity God has spoken into you or me. It also doesn't me no is better than the other. I want to live my life pure before God. I want him to be my First Love.

Ephesians 5:1-3

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people

I'll share with some personal stuff with you now.....

Some of you might know this but... Christian and I have made a commitment to pursue a relationship together. With that we have had to sit down and talk about purity. We spent a while praying about it and asking God where is the line in this relationship. We both left kissing was something we did not want in our relationship. I know some of you may be like what are they thinking? Or you might not compelelty understand WHY we chose to do this. That is ok. Our reasoning to this is because we want our relationship to be pleasing to God. We want him to be the center and HIM to consume us from every end and angle. Again this is what God spoke into my relationship with Christian. This might be different for you.

a book that I would really recommend to you is not even a hint..guarding your hearts

against lust. by Joshua Harris

~Imiators of Christ our King!~

“My Princess…You are my precious daughter,

‘And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty’ 2 Cor. 6:18.

You are a daughter of the King, and not just any king. You are My daughter, and I am the God of all heaven and earth. I’m delighted with you! You are the apple of My eye. You’re Daddy’s girl. Your earthly father may love and adore you, but his love is not perfect, no matter how great – or small – it is. Only My love is perfect…because I am Love. I formed your body. I fashioned your mind and soul. I know your personality, and I understand your needs and desires. I see your heartaches and disappointments, and I love you passionately and patiently. My child, I bought you with a price so that we could have an intimate relationship together for all eternity. Soon we will see each other face-to-face – Father and daughter – and you will experience the wonderful place I have prepared for you in paradise. Until then, fix your eyes on heaven, and walk closely with Me. You will know that – although I am God – My arms are not too big to hold you, My beloved daughter.

Love,
Your King and your Daddy in heaven"

Note: This is also for all males as well. You are God's sons and princes.

How awesome is it to know that God already has everything planed out for us. I enjoy listening to His call and His voice. I love feeling His touch. I love knowing that I am NEVER alone. I am safe in the arms of my Father. When the worlds rejects me God is still there holding me and taking good care of me. All I want to do is to disern God's will for my life. I want to walk in obedience. As hard as that is, it's rewarding at the end. For example....I didn't exactly want to submit to God when He was telling He wanted me back at Taylor College. I tried hard to get out of it. God never stopped giving me dreams, visions, and giving me scripture. Finally I was like alright God,Your plan is always better then mine. As much as this doesn't excite me right now I am going to obey you. So I applied and I got it. Through this whole process God has really changed my heart and I am happy I am going back. I am happy that I submitted to God's will and not my own.

I want to be a glory carrier. I want to carry only the glory of God on me. WHOA WOW MY heart is pounding so fast right now because I am so excited. I am so in love with GOD!! OH my goodness! Father God I love you so much!

Ephesians 5:8-14

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:

"Wake up, O sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."

C'MON we ARE light let's LIVE as CHILDERN of LIGHT. WE ARE THE LIGHT OF WOLRD!!!!

Let the glory of God consume your everything. I pray you have carry God's glory where ever you go. God has given us power and authority to do those things he did on earth.

Luke 9:1-2

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

This isn't stuff that could only happen back in the days of the Bible this is stuff we can do TODAY!!! Because God has given us that power and authority. We have to believe, we have to have faith that God has given this gift to us. This is so important to understand tha twhat Jesus did on earth we can NOW today! To bring glory to God and to edify the Kingdom of God!

C'mon it's time that we all get yup and be IMIATORS of CHRIST!!

~For Love is Strong as Death~

Song of Solomon 8:6-7

Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.

Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love,
it would be utterly scorned.

Right now all that is on my mind is HOW much I truly love God and HOW much He loves me. I want these two verses to represent intimacy between Jesus and myself. I want to him to shape me and mold me in to the women he wants me to be. I am a lover a pursuer of Jesus Christ. I want to be able to love as He loves. I want my life to be so consumed by God that whoever meets me for the first time will meet God for the first time. GOD I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!! I want to you seek your face God! I want to be taken to a secret place a place to where I can be with you and you can be with me. Jesus I ask you to go deeper within me. Change my heart. Show me what I have to do. Thank you, Jesus.

I am reminded of a song... one of my favorite Songs.

This is the chorus.

I want to be small
I want to be just like a child
I want to be quite in your arms
I want to be smal
I want to be just like a child
I want to be quite in your arms.

"What is God's greatest desire for you ? God sees you as a precious treasure, and He longs to have a close relationship with you. More than anything He wants you to have an intimate love relationship and friendship with Him. God wants you to spend time with Him and intimately communicate with Him, to enjoy fellowship with Him, to trust and follow Him, and to give your life meaning and purpose. "

"Do you desire a deeper and closer relationship and friendship with God? Is your desire to know Him and to please Him growing? Do you know that hearing God's voice is by far the most important part of your prayer & fellowship time with God ? God needs to touch our hearts so that Jesus is our 1st Love, and so that we will faithfully and passionately seek Him and follow Him, however and wherever He may lead us. "

That is it... I only want to know God more and more everyday. Everyday is a NEW day. Remember God doesn’t look at what we did wrong yesterday He looks at us loving Him TODAY and HIMSELF LOVING US FOREVER! Pursue the one that is chasing YOU!! JESUS!!!

I love you Jesus.

~Let the Message ring out of us~

1 Thessalonians 1:7-10

And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

When I read this verse what really caught my eye was the word rang. This is how we ought to be that we are so firmly planted that the message just rings out of us. The word rang itself means to anncounce or to proclaim. When we talked about the Gospel it brings beautiful sounds of ringing around you. The ringing sound of people talking about, “who is this Jesus?” and asking questions. That is beautiful sound. May we have the Lord's message ring out of us, that it would create chatter among the people. Through our faith may we become known everywhere, because of our life style that we choose to live for God. We choose to walk the narrow road. We choose to walk in the light, to be models to all believers and non-believers. We choose be imitators of Christ. We choose to be lovers to of the Most High.

Personally this is something I want for myself. For the message to ring out of me at all times. I want to be a bell that constantly rings. I do not want people to hear my words but I want them to hear that words God puts in my mouth and has me speak. I want to be a model to all believers and non-believers. I want to be know God in a whole new way every day. I want to be taken to a higher level of intimacy, a deeper understanding of who He is. I want to know Him face to face. I get excited every day to spend time with Him. I love my Lord Jesus Christ so much.

2 Thessalonians 3:1

Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

Be a bell that constantly rings the Lord's message.
Let the message be rung!

Well that is a little something I thought I would share you with that was on my mind.

Be Blessed
