~Unpacking...not so much! UGH!~

Well... I had today planed out to unpack all my stuff that I brought home with me from school. I had so much stuff it filled my room and took over the kitchen.

My room before I even started unpacking. UGH! About an hour later I had tired and took a break. Then my mom came home from the air port so I talked with her for a little. Then my good ol' friends Jen Mac, Jen Whelly, Kurt and Carolyn came over to visit. It was really nice to chat and catch up with them. I hadn't seen them all year. My brother(Alastair) came in and chilled with us. He played Nintendo with Jen Whelly.Al gaming with Jen
Great friends. Jen Mac, Carolyn and Kurt. I love you guys very much.
So I guess I didn't really get all my unpacking done after all. Haha I still have a lot left to do. I know everything is on my bed right now. Maybe tonight I'll sleep in my sister's old room.

~A new generation of children~

This something I found on my other blogging place called "myspace". When I looked at it I was so moved and wanted to share with you right away. I really recommend that you look at it.

http://livedigital.com/content/52110/u22331

This is a little 7 year old crying to God. May God move in us and create in each in every one of us a child like faith. May we be people who will do God's will and pursue EVERDAY! GOD CHANGE our HEARTS. Remove the junk from us and go deep within us. God we want more of You!

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Malachi 4:5-6

"See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. 6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."

John 12: 1-7
We must like the women who poured perfume on Jesus' feet. That was sacrifice. A YEAR’S WAGES. Are you willing to sacrifice your life to Him? Are you willing to lay everything down before? How far are you willing to go to show Him you love Him? Remember what He did for you... He DIED for YOU! This women humbled herself not just by pouring perfume on Jesus' feet but she untied her hair and wiped His feet with it. At that time it was women never untied their hair. This was an act of humility.

As we see in that video children actual young children crying out to God. God has created us to RADICAL people. I say if little 7 year olds are crying out then that is AMAZING!!! MAY GOD CONITUE TO CREATE A CHILD LIKE FAITH IN YOU AND IN ME!!!

~Church Army Graduation~

Tonight was the graduation serivce for all the students leaving Taylor College. It was held at Forset Hill Baptist Church. Personnally I found the night a little sad. It was an amazing God given year to really reflect on. The whole night was amazing. Ken Neilson have a talk that brought many people in to tears including himself. I was touched by what he had to say.

On the left is Christian and I after the graduation

Below: All the students and staff from Taylor College

I am very excited that the year is over and now I have 2 months before camp that I can really prepare myself for. still don't know what is happening for me in the fall I know that I am accpeted into the second year and in the church army program but I don't know what I am doing yet. What I mean is that because Erin and I are the only 2 students coming back it might be hard teaching 2 students so in that case they would send us on a 12 month placement. Send Erin somewhere and send me somewhere.

Well that is all for tonight. It was a good night.

Go where the Lord is sending you.

~Reflecting~

Philippians 2:7-8

but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

2 Corinthians 8:9

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

~Lab Rat, on a Tuesday Afternoon~

I'm a lab rat on a Tuesday afternoon. I just handed in my last assignment for the year! YIPPIE! Right I am just chilling out in the lab for a bit before I head back to my place to fix myself something to eat.

Every Tuesday Erin and I ( my neighbor ) go to her placement home group. It's always a good time there. A great time to sing, pray, share the Word with everyone. Share what's burning on your heart. It's also a great time for ministry and fellowship. It's great place to be built up and encouraged in your daily walk.

Tomorrow I don't have any classes so I will be spending the majority of tomorrow studying and getting ready for my first exam on Friday. Thursday is our LAST DAY OF CLASSES! Then we head into a LONG week of exams. Friday of next week is our graduation ceremony for all the 3rd year students and 1 years who don't plan on coming back to Taylor.

Wow God has done some AMAZING things this past little while. I love it! I look back at this year and see what wondrous things God has done in my life. I am so happy. I wish to tell you more but not now because I believe may have to be for another blog on another blog.

~Humility and denying yourself..do we do it?~

Something that has be hitting me a lot lately is that is God teaching me more about real humility and denying myself. Yes we need to be willing to humble ourselves to serve Christ and show Him our true love for Him.

Are we willing to step out?

Are willing to say God I don't care what they say.. I want to show you I love you God?
Are you willing?

In the dictionary humble means: Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful.

In this passage we read about Peter Denying Jesus. In his pride, Peter said he would never deny Jesus, yet he was humbled by doing so 3 times. We need to move in the Place of humility so that the circumstances around us do not cause us to be humbled which is painful.

I know for myself God has def. broken down some walls in me. I don't even know what the walls were but I do know they aren't there anymore.

We need to go back to the basics, of just loving. Learning what it means to love and how to love. We have nothing if we don't have love. We need simplicity.. the basics.
Are you willing to let everything go and lay everything down before God?

Maybe stepping out of the box for you, is ministering to people you do or don't know. Maybe just laying quietly in the corner and listening for God's voice. Maybe it's something bigger than that. Maybe it's something inside you that you need to work with God. Maybe it's another step into your future where God is guiding you. Maybe it's walking by faith. Ask him what it is that He wants you to do. He will show you.

Luke 9:23-27

Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."

Are we willing to take up our cross and follow Him DAILY!?

This past weekend God was really speaking me to about humility and denying myself. I have to be honest it wasn't my kind of mission. Sorry Reed. But I did get stretched and I was challenged a lot. I am now different person. I have come to a place where I can fully worship God no matter where I am and be hit by the Holy Spirit. I was in church Thursday night, at the worship service. God was really moving in me and showing me new things. I did get hit by the Holy Spirit. A new beginning was made that night.

Saturday night Erin and I went out for a walk down town Fredericton. We were praying and singing at the top of our lungs. It felt so freeing to just let everything you feel about God out. People were walking by us wondering what our problem was but we kept worshiping. Why? Because we were not going to stop showing our love. We were not going to deny our Christ. We felt like shouting to Him.

hahah It's funny what love can do to people. Many times you are willing to humiliate yourself to show the love you have for your husband or wife. Your willing to take whatever people say so you can show your love to your loved one. This should be the same for us and God.

What are you willing to show your love?

Your zeal and your passion for Him where you are?

What are you willing to do show Him how much you truly love Him?

Remember .....He died for you.

Saturday I was willing to sing and pray the loudest I could. I let myself go and let God to whatever He wanted with me. I wasn't going to let myself deny Him.
I now challenge to look at your life. Are you denying Christ or yourself?
Are you willing to do whatever it takes to show your love to God your creator?
Think about what His son Jesus Christ did for you on the cross.
What are you willing to do for Him?

Holy Encounters with BOOMERS!!!

This past weekend my school came up to Fredericton for a mission. It was really good. You can see God really moving and opening hearts and minds. People were really receiving Him these past couple days.

One guy was walking the street was crying out to the "Holy one in the sky" He went to every church to see if they were open. The only open church was the one our team was at. He came in and just told us everything. This young guy was so full of joy and excitment. He only wanted more. We sat him down and prayed for a major download and blessing on him. It was awesome. His name was Joshua.

Last night after Erin and I dropped off Christian to the place he was staying we felt like taking a walk. We really wanted to find someone to talk to and share God with them. As we were walking we were praying. I was singing and Erin was praying. Then the clock hit 10:00 at city hall. Right there I really felt something stir inside of me. There was something strong and thick. I felt God saying something to me about that hour. I wasn't sure of what though. We kept walking and praying. We were asking God for sign and for him to show something of what he wants us to do tonight. haha Well As we walked further there was a nightclub called Boom. There was a sign in the window that read :
BOOM nightclub, Tonight Saturday, Open 8-2, Happy Hour 8-11, HEAVEN 10-2, blazing house tracks taking you to the next level" Erin and I were totally caught off guard. This place was claiming to be a blazing house tacks that will take people to the NEXT LEVEL!!! We remember that God really stirred something in us about 10:00. So right after the clock struck we saw this sign. It was CRAZY!

We both strongly felt that this was our sign. We didn't what to do though from there. So we sat down on a bench and prayed that God will the boom out to us. We really didn't feel good about going in. Not long after a guy (named George) that worked there came out with a clip board and circled around Erin and I. Erin said: Excuse me do you have one of those sheets in the window? We would like one. The guy was like yeah hold on. He came back asking why do you want it? Haha our KEY! So we told him who we are and that this sign in the window was very prophetic. This guy we were talking to had backslidden and grew up in the Baptist church. He also use to speak in tongues. IT WAS CRAZY!!! He seemed so interested in what we were saying but he had to go back his job.

Erin and I sat out there on the bench a little longer then another guy came and we began to talk him. His name was Adam. I began to tell him the gospel and encourage him. I just spoke words of love over this guy. It was really good. He was a different kind of guy I wouldn't know how to explain him. He was listening and I really believe that everything Erin and I said to him he thought about and is still thinking about. hahah He called me a fortune teller. hahah I laughed and said" no man I know nothing about you it's all God." He said I was dead on with everything I said to him. It was an amazing night. God really spoke to both Erin and I. We found out from this Adam guy that boom was a gay bar. We were really happy that God protected us and kept us from going in. Instead he brought the "boomers" out to us.

One thing I really noticed as people were walking into the nightclub was that they were all baby boomers (born right after WW2) or many of them were. It hit right then. These people were baby boomers. But God see them still as babies and wants them to BOOM in to the LIGHT! He wants them to be BABY BOOMERS FOR HIM!!! GOD BOOM THEM WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT!!! Thank you JESUS!

We headed home after sitting on a cold bench praying for an hour and a half.
Praising God for wonderful and Holy encounters!! Thank you Lord!!

~Who are you a fragrance for?~

John 12:1-9

John 12: 3 Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

Mary pours this perfume on Jesus' feet. She didn't care that it was year's wages of money or that people were watching her and remarking on what she was doing. She only wanted to give all that she had and all that she could to show her true love for Jesus.

Because this fragrance was expensive Mary's devotion and offering was expensive. This women literally poured herself out to Jesus. In those days in was custom to pour oil on the head and Mary is seen pouring more than oil but a beautiful fragrance of perfume on Jesus' feet. As she is pouring she wipes his feet with her hair. This shows a huge act of humility on Mary's part because it was not custom for a woman to let her hair loose and to attend the feet of someone that was suppose to be left to the servant.

A fragrant offering..

It was an act on humility..

Now put ourselves in Mary's spot. Your a young women. All you have to give was is perfume. You use it as an offering to Jesus. You bend down to rub the perfume all over Jesus. There are men all around you. Men... the disciples. They make remarks on what you are doing and they think your crazy. Nothing stops you though. This is your act of worship to Jesus Christ. This is your offering. You completely humbled yourself down and gave everything you had.

This perfume was a fragrant offering and the smell of it filled the whole house. Jesus constantly wants us. He wants us to give ourselves as an offering to Him.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

We are called to be a fragrant offering and sacrifice to Jesus. We are to carry the aroma of Jesus on us where ever we go. We have a choice ....we can smell beautiful in the nostrils of Jesus Christ... Or we can smell beautiful in the nostrils of the enemy. Which do you chose?

2 Corinthians 2:14-16
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?

Before I became fully committed to Jesus I was a sweet smell to the nostrils of the emery. I would lie to my mom about where I was going, I would get in fights with my brother, I would stay out all night at parties, I would drink and party almost every weekend for about a year. My marks in school went down because I didn't care anymore. I just wanted to please myself. I never thought about God. My attitude was horrible. I only ever thought about myself.

Now I want to do everything I can to be sweet smell to Jesus Christ. I want to be a fragrant offering just as He was for me.

How often are we a “Mary'?
(pause)
How often do we pour out everything we have and give if a as fragrant offering to Jesus?
(pause)
When will we get off out high latter's and humbles ourselves like Mary did?

God wants our everything. He wants us to offer of ourselves up as a sweet fragrance to Him. In doing that we ought to be obedient. But it's more than that. We ought to desire and love to be obedient to Him. No it's not always easy. I mean is it always easy to take instruction from a parent no, but we listen because we love them and want to obey. It goes the same for Jesus we love him deeply and because of the love we have for him we want to obey Him. Our King, our Father, Our Maker, Our Creator, Our everything.

Do you want to be the sweet smelling perfume in the jar that is poured out onto Jesus?
(pause)
Do want be a fragrant offering and sacrifice to Jesus just as he was for us?

Now remember the this fragrant offering of perfume was not cheap. It was very expensive. It was year's wages of money put in that perfume. It was a sacrifice for Mary to pour in on to Jesus' feet. She was sacrificing all the work and money she put into the perfume and used every last drop of it on His feet. The perfume was also a symbol of her complete devotion to Jesus. Her first love.

How are we a fragrant offering to Jesus?
(pause)
What are we willing to sacrifice in our lives to get closer to Jesus?
(pause)

We all have different stories of how we came to know Jesus. In that process we had make sacrifices many different to get closer to God and show that we really love him and want more of Him. Some of you may have had to sacrifice friends, or depending on where you were before you were saved maybe it was drinking or drugs, or maybe spending less time with your family and more time with God, maybe food, maybe the computer, or T.V.... or one thing we all say we don't have enough of is time.

(pause)
Are we willing to sacrifice our time to we will Jesus?
(pause)

These are just a few examples. You will see that as you take these steps of sacrifice for Jesus, He will show you other things He wants to clean you out and get rid of things that keep you from getting closer to Him, so you can have fresh relationship with him everyday. This does not stop the week that we are saved. It's a life time. It's a life time a sacrifices for Jesus.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

We no longer live. We let God take complete control over our lives. We live by faith and not by sight because we trust God. He loved us and gave his life for us, so we ought to do the same. We are too love Jesus as He loves us and put our lives into His hands. I challenge you now to let go of any thing that could be holding you back from being closer to God and letting Him have complete control over your life. Lets step down from where are be like Mary and pour everything we have on to Jesus as a sacrifice of our love for Him.

~What do you thirst for?....Living Water~

Living Water

John 4:1-14

The human body depends on water to live it can't go more than 3 days without it.

Fact- How much water we drink is determined by our habits, not by thirst. When we feel thirsty, this usually is a sign that we have not been drinking a sufficient amount of water.

John 4:11 The well is deep. Where can you get this living water?

Where do you draw your water?
(pause)
Where do you find your energy?
(pause)

Is it from your family, friends, food, pets, school, sports, church events, or..
Is God your source of water?
(pause)
Is He your source of energy?
(pause)

The world today looks to other many different material things to "feel" refreshed. These things could be money, food, drinking, drugs etc. money, food, drinking, drugs

Before I really came to know the Lord I use try to fill my well with all kinds of different things. I wanted something that I could hold on to and "feel" filled up for a little while. I use to drink and go to parties for about a year when I was in high school. My flesh thought it was great but deep down inside I was hurt and empty. I was crying for something to fill me up. I was crying out for real love. I didn't know what love was. I didn't know what it meant to love. I searched for things to try to fill that up my well.

I hung with the wrong group of friends. They would drink and smoke up on the weekends. For a little while I went from boyfriend to boyfriend to boyfriend, because I was so hungry for something, I wasn't even aware I was hungry for God. I was looking for perfect love........... You only find perfect love in God.

You see I was trying fill my well with things of this world. I came to realize that the only thing that will ever fill my well is Jesus Christ pouring His living water into me. When I realized God was the only one who could fill me up, He was able to not only fill me but do some major work in me and hasn't stopped. I continually ask Him to go deeper in my well because the deeper you let him go the more living water He will pour in. Healing will be done, fear will be gone, offense will be gone, doubt will be gone. Because your letting God go deep and your letting him take control .

How deep do you want to go with God?
(pause)
How deep do you want to go with Him?

God will give you living water. All you have to do is ask. John 4:10
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." ......pause......
you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.

The thing is the world does not realize that each one of these things: money, food, drinking, drugs is great at the moment but then there is a huge downfall. If it's money you could be broke. If it's food, you could become over stuffed, If it's drinking it'll lead to a hang over the next morning. If it's drugs you will get extermly sick. These are only just a few examples there are many more.

God created humans to worship Him. Humans have a natural thirst. The problem is that many people will fill their well with material because they are thirsty and they are not satisfied with what they have at the moment.

What are you thirsty for?
(pause)
What are you filling your well with?
(pause)
Are you willing to let go of those things that may stop you from getting close to God?
(pause)

As soon as you let God take over and let Him be your source of water......... your source of energy, He will do great things in you. He will heal and wipe away every wound that lies within in you. Wounds that are so deep that no man can heal them but only God.

Not Having fun with my Digi Cam!

Oh my goodness I am not very pleased right now. haa I came home this after noon and I have spent from about 6:00 to 9:00 trying to upload my pictures from my camera to my computer. It really disapoints me because today is the only day I can do it. I have the program already and it;s already installed and everything but the thing is , is don't remember HOW I uploaded my pictures from last time I did it. hahah yes you can laugh, because I know later I will laugh at myself for this.

I think I need to take a break from the computer though and find peace. Before I say anyting more. I love you all very much. You'll hear more about my heart and what God has been saying to me later. I need to go talk to Him right now. :)

For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything. 1John4:20

~Pray for the elders, the speakers and the leaders over us!~

Friday after school I hopped in the car with Skky, Katie, Courtney and Chad. We all went St. Stephen. The drive there and back was a lot of fun. I guess your asking why did we go to St. Stephen out of all places? hah There happened to be a worship service at The Christian community center so we went. It wasn't exactly what has expected but we still ended up having a good time.

I do believe that God put something on my heart that night. It was to begin praying for our leaders. No not... the leaders of Canada. Yes we do need to pray for them. When I say "leader" I mean go pray for those people that are speaking to the church. God called me to pray for the guy who was speaking Friday night. I said to God " God I am so young and he is a leader." God said " go and pray for him" Think about it... how often does the speakeer in the church get prayer from the young people? Probably not often. I really think it's time for the young people to be praying for the elders of the church and for our speakers. We are to encourage them through prayer and the love of God. God really spoke to me that night as I was praying over this man. To be honest I never knew his name and I wasn't very impressed with this talk but God still told me pray for him. We need to begin to pray for them today!

~ God's Song~

I was at my apartment just reading and soaking with God. Lately I have been feeling like God has been trying to give something to me I just haven't been able to fully see it yet. So I praying and I said alright God I know you are trying give something to me. I want whatever you are giving me.

Then I had a vision of myself in a white dress on the top a very high mountain. I could see nothing but sky and clouds. The grass was so green. (ha It kind of reminded me of Julie Andrews in the Sound of music.) I began dancing in the very center of the mountain. I was like GOD I WANT MORE!!! Then the heavens opened up and Jesus came down. We began to dance together for a while. Then we stopped and I began to talk to Him. I just simply said I want sing. I want to your voice to lead me in song and worship. Take me higher God. Then all of a sudden I looked up and there was this HUGE beam of light coming down and went right into my mouth and into my throat and my then belly. Right there I knew He was putting new songs, and new music into me. Then Jesus came over to me and prayed over me. He put His on my head and then brushed his hands from my shoulders down to my feet. Then beams of lights just began to come out of me every direction. I looked at Him and I ask him what is this? He said Take hold leader of worship and worship leader. I had no words in me I was speechless.

Then I got the sense He was telling to turn off my music and to now sing. So I did. I sang. I couldn't even believe the things I was singing. I never sang like that before it was all God. Before something even came to my mind it would come out of my lips first and I would be like where did that come from thank you Jesus.

Just to let those of who you don't know, know that before this I use to sing every now and then just around my apartment but not so much in front of people. I have always loved singing. I have never been bold enough to sing in front of people though. So that will be my next step with God. ha.

Anyways if you have any interpretations about this more than me please share them with me. Thanks.

Be Blessed

Oh Thursdays....I love you.

I know that sounds a little off but if you were in my spot I guess you would know how I feel about them. From 8:30- 3:30 I have a regular day. Then at 4:00 there is a chapel service with communion that runs till 5:00. After chapel I leave right away to get in the car for my placement. I am placed at Church of the Good Shepherd. I lead youth group there. I get to the church probably around 5:30 and wait around for the kids to arrive at 6:00. Most nights Youth groups ends at 7:30 but tonight it's going to 8:00 because we are having a belated valentines party! haha. I'm really looking forward to it. I made chocolate chip cookies and valentines for all the kids.

There is a girl and her brother in the youth group who are moving away so it's going to be a good bye party as well. Boy I am REALLY going miss them a lot. In case you were wondering the kids in my youth are ages 8- 12 most of them are 10 and 11. I am really going to miss the youth group when I head home in May.

So back to my day... normally when it goes to 7:30 I don't get home till 8:00 but tonight I probably won't get home till 8:30. Oh boy it's going to be a loooong day. Tonight I am really looking forward to chapel because Dan Trecartin is coming in to talk and to do communion. When I go home in next weekend I hope to get some pictures up here and running and I will try to get a picture of my youth group to show everyone. They are amazing!! Anyways that's all for now folks.

I love you. Be Blessed
